Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme Shows Record-Breaking Power

The new ARM processor scored over 23,000 points in tests, outperforming the Apple M4 Pro in multi-threaded tasks.

Benchmark results for Qualcomm’s new flagship chip have surfaced online. The tests confirm that the Windows on Arm platform finally has hardware capable of competing with Apple’s M-series processors.

Top Model Specs (X2E-96-100):

  • Cores: 18
  • Frequency: Up to 5.0 GHz
  • TDP: 82W
  • NPU: 80 TOPS (for AI tasks)

Geekbench Results (X2E-96-100):

  • Single-core: 4,072
  • Multi-core: 23,611

For comparison, the Apple M4 Pro (14-core) scores 3,918 / 23,081, and the Apple M4 Max (16-core) scores 4,070 / 26,814. This puts the new Snapdragon on par with the powerful M4 Max in single-core performance and allows it to confidently beat the M4 Pro in heavy computing tasks.

However, despite this technological breakthrough, Snapdragon still lags slightly behind Apple’s new M5 chip in single-threaded scenarios (which scores 4,351).
