The company’s most hyped smartphone turned out to be its biggest failure.
Insider Digital Chat Station reports that Apple’s ultra-thin smartphone is selling about 24 times worse than the base iPhone 17 and more than 40 times worse than the iPhone 17 Pro Max in China.
According to his data, Apple has sold fewer than 200,000 Air units in China since the start of sales. In comparison, the iPhone 17 sold approximately 5 million units, and the 17 Pro Max sold over 8 million units, making it the best-selling device in the new line despite its maximum price.
Previously, it became known that due to the disastrous sales of thin smartphones, Chinese manufacturers canceled their own developments, and Samsung decided to close its Edge line.
