The headphones received a new chip with many features and improved noise cancellation. Apple has introduced the second generation of its flagship over-ear headphones, the AirPods Max 2. The main and essentially only hardware change is the transition from the H1 chip to the Apple H2 chip.
However, this brings all the features available on modern AirPods models:
- Adaptive Audio
- Conversation Awareness
- Live Translation
- Voice Isolation
- Personalized Volume
Apple also states that noise cancellation in the new model is 1.5 times better compared to the first generation. The headphones now support high-quality 24-bit/48 kHz audio when connected via USB-C. Battery life remains the same at 20 hours with ANC active. Interestingly, according to Apple’s website, the headphones appear to have lost their fast charging feature. The price remains $549 (approx. 44,750 rubles or 515 euros), available in five colors.
