To use the feature in the web version of Docs, navigate to the “Tools” section, then “Audio,” and select “Listen to summary.” This opens an audio player with a timeline and playback speed controls. Users can also choose from different voices.
The Gemini summaries provide a brief verbal overview of your document’s content, lasting a few minutes and using a natural speaking style to efficiently bring you up to speed.
In the coming weeks, audio summaries will be available to paid Google subscribers on various tiers, including Business, Enterprise, Google AI Pro, and Ultra. The feature is currently unavailable in Russia.
