The key feature of the new device is its advanced camera system: the main 1-inch OmniVision OV50X sensor supports 3rd-generation LOFIC technology to expand dynamic range and correctly render details in difficult conditions. As an example, Xiaomi provided a comparison between the 17 Ultra and the iPhone 17 Pro Max.
Xiaomi continues the trendy tendency among Chinese manufacturers to try to “befriend” their devices with Apple hardware; therefore, the new product will support desktop projection onto an iPhone.
The smartphone will go on sale in four colors at the following prices:

- 16 + 512 GB: 7,499 yuan (~€910)
- 16 + 1024 GB: 8,499 yuan (~€1,030)
Official sales start at 10:00 AM on December 27.
In addition, a limited edition Xiaomi Mi 17 Ultra Leica Edition will go on sale. This version features a design inspired by classic Leica cameras and offers a rotating camera wheel for manual zoom control. It also comes with a richer kit, including a magnetic bumper case, a lens cap, and a lanyard. Its price will be 7,999 yuan (~€970).
